After a successful first edition, DigitalX is ready for its second edition. The conference of the Belgian Digital Infrastructure Association (BDIA) will take place on May 12 and 13, 2025 at the Dome Eventhall in Brussels.
The Belgian data center market is at a crossroads and bursting with digital ambitions. For example, billions are being invested in digital infrastructure through the construction of new hyperscale data centers (Google, Microsoft) and colocation data centers (e.g., Kevlinx). Other examples include the acquisition of the former Nexus Datacenter by Penta Infra and telecom operator Proximus selling its data centers to Datacenter United. These developments show that the Belgian market is becoming a TIER 2 data center market. But what steps must be taken from the federal government and the digital infrastructure sector to achieve sustainable growth? And how can Belgium establish itself further as a next gen data center hub? This and more will be discussed during the second edition of DigitalX.
